With a robust CAPEX investment plan in Construction and Engineering, SCGÁS has been seeking modern solutions to strengthen its governance and enhance project execution with greater predictability and control. The growing investments and increasing project complexity required SCGÁS to transform its construction management practices. The company needed a single platform to standardize and automate processes such as budgeting, contracts, measurements, payments, and cash flow control. In addition, it was essential to have reliable real-time data integrated with the Oracle E-Business Suite ERP to support decision-making and ensure compliance with the strict regulatory and audit requirements of the Brazilian government.
Approach
SCGÁS began the implementation of Oracle Primavera Unifier Cloud in partnership with Peloton Consulting Group, a solution specialized in capital project and portfolio management. The project lasted 16 months (from January 2024 to May 2025) and was carried out by an integrated team of 20 SCGÁS professionals and 15 Peloton consultants, in addition to training 40 key company users. Over 100 specific SCGÁS requirements were addressed, covering processes such as project budgeting, contract management and measurement, subcontractor payments, and cash flow. Ten integrations with Oracle EBS ERP using OCI were developed, along with the creation of custom reports and dashboards tailored to the company’s governance and management needs.

With the adoption of Oracle Unifier Cloud, SCGÁS now operates with a digitized, auditable, and highly efficient system. Automated workflows enabled faster data collection and analysis, simplifying real-time report generation. The company saw improvements in contract processes, claims, and execution costs.
