Business Challenges

  • Disconnected Excel-Based Planning Processes  – Existing planning processes supported by multiple offline Excel models that were error-prone and time-consuming to consolidate
  • Inconsistent Modeling and Metrics  – Challenging to ensure consistent scenario modeling and calculation of metrics in Excel models where users build their own formulas
  • Limited Visibility to Critical Business Data  – Data was not available in real time and with limited means of distribution to key decision makers

Solution

  • Cloud-Based Planning Solution  – Designed and developed a cloud-based planning solution for Integro on the Oracle Cloud EPM platform to support a collaborative forecasting and budgeting process across practices and departments
  • Robust Revenue, Compensation, and Currency Modeling – Built forms and business logic into the Oracle solution to model revenue at the policy level and calculate all compensation expenses. The compensation model provides employee-level planning with systematic calculation of all benefits, taxes, and bonuses. Currency modeling provides constant currency views across plans and actuals with the ability to assess the impact of different underlying transactional currencies
  • Standardized Company Metrics – Member formulas and business rules provide consistent calculation of metrics across the entire company
  • Automated Integration of Source Data – Automated data integrations load actuals from the GL on a recurring schedule throughout the day and also allow finance users to initiate ad hoc loads as needed

Impact

  • Faster and More Accurate Planning – Deployed solution materially shortened the planning calendar by streamlining data input, simplifying consolidation, and systematically calculating key metrics and models
  • Real-Time Access to Data Through Multiple Distribution Methods – Solution platform provides real-time access to data for decision makers with multiple options for ad hoc and scheduled distribution of information though formatted reports, interactive Excel retrievals, and online dashboards
  • Extensible Application Foundation – After EPIC acquired Integro, they were able to leverage the Integro planning solution to rapidly deploy their own Oracle Cloud EPM planning solution
